Assistant Coach/Summer Camp Supervisor Email: [email protected] Coach Robinson joined the USI Volleyball Staff in March of 2022. Prior to her time at USI, she was the head coach at Spalding University in Louisville, KY. Under the guidance of Coach Robinson, the Spalding Golden Eagles reached back-to-back SLIAC tournaments advancing to the semifinals in 2021 and had multiple historic accomplishments. Some accomplishments include Newcomer of the Year Award, All-Conference Second Team, multiple Academic All-Conference recipients, and multiple All-Conference Third Team recipients. A 2019 recipient of the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Diversity Award, Robinson has also dedicated many hours to empowering her student-athletes by coordinating Spalding's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Prior to taking the helm at SU, Robinson served as the top assistant at the University of Evansville where she assisted in coaching, recruiting and academic planning. On the court, Robinson helped recruit and shape multiple Missouri Valley All-Conference selections. In the classroom, the Purple Aces achieved the AVCA Team Academic Award in 2016-17 achieving a 3.3 team GPA, with 50 percent of players making the dean’s list and a 100% graduation rate.
Robinson began her collegiate coaching journey as a graduate assistant at VCU under the tutelage of head coach, Jody Rogers. In her time at VCU, Robinson assisted in recruiting, practice and individual training, video analysis, travel and operations.
Prior to coaching, Robinson had a stellar collegiate playing career at the University of Indianapolis where she was a two-time American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American setter, as well as three-time Academic All-GLVC honoree and CoSIDA Academic All-Region selection under legendary Indianapolis head coach, Jody Rogers. Robinson holds two bachelor's degrees from the University of Indianapolis (Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Science in Human Biology) and a Master's Degree in Education and Sports Leadership (VCU). She returns to Evansville with her daughter Jaley Robinson and her husband Justin Robinson who is a collegiate coach in his own rite, recently accepting a position at the University of Tennessee-Martin as the Defensive Line coach with their football program.
