Lincoln Little League is pleased to announce a new program for our AAA players… Sandlot Sundays!

Who: Hosted by Lincoln LL Coaches and verified volunteers. Open to all AAA players.

What: Sandlot Sundays is an optional, open, extra practice emphasizing on fun skill-building games. Depending on attendance, we will form groups into a variety of skill-building mini-games. With enough participation we can set up full scrimmages. 

When: Every Sunday (weather permitting), beginning April 24th and running through June 12th, except for May 8th (Mother’s Day). 9am to 11am.

Where: Sam Moore field at Lonsdale Elementary School

Why: This is an opportunity for every AAA player to continue building their skills and become better baseball players with extra contact time. Players are able to mix in with friends and make new friends from around the league while playing a variety of baseball-based games. Examples might be popup, fielding, bunting, hitting games, and more. 

No need to RSVP, no cost, just show up at 9 with your child dressed for baseball: cleats, gloves, bats, helmets, cups, pants, etc.

Why only AAA? It's difficult to accommodate a wide range of ages from a safety perspective. Other age groups may start their own age/skill-specific Sandlot programs. Reach out to your coach and inquire. If you're a coach, organize some verified volunteers and ask the league about open fields.
