Frederick City Cannons 11 - Mountain Valley Knights 3

Frederick Cannons easily dispatched Mountain Valley Knights on Thursday, 11-3.
Frederick Cannons got on the board in the top of the first inning after Connor McElroy drew a walk, scoring one run, Jackson White doubled, scoring two runs, and Austin Tuccinardi singled, scoring two runs.
Frederick Cannons added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Everett Abbott singled, and Mountain Valley Knights committed an error, each scoring one run.
McElroy started the game for Frederick Cannons. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and three runs over three innings, striking out two and walking five. Cardona stepped on the bump first for Mountain Valley Knights. The pitcher allowed five hits and seven runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking five. Cory Wright threw two innings of no-run ball for Frederick Cannons in relief. The hurler surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking two.
Frederick Cannons collected 11 hits in the game. White, Tuccinardi, and Abbott each collected two hits for Frederick Cannons. White led Frederick Cannons with three runs batted in. The second baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Frederick Cannons had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. McElroy and Cayden Goulette led the team with two free passes each. McElroy and Tyler Jones each stole multiple bases for Frederick Cannons. Frederick Cannons ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 10 stolen bases for the game. Frederick Cannons turned one double play in the game.
High and White C each collected one hit for Mountain Valley Knights. C led Mountain Valley Knights with one run batted in. The left fielder went 1-for-1 on the day. Cody paced Mountain Valley Knights with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game.
Frederick Cannons welcome GVAA-16U (Fall-McGraw 24) on Tuesday for their next game.
