Portland-Kaohsiung Sister City Association, with the assistance of the local chapter of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, offers a modest scholarship to a local high school student each year.

Jessie was a South Eugene High School graduate and is currently enrolled at University of Rochester in New York with a double major of Neuroscience and Computer Science.
