Evaluations & Orientation

Everyone must attend a basketball skill evaluation or cheerleader orientation. It is important that you attend so we can get accurate uniform sizing for your child. This session takes approximately 30 minutes.

Evaluations will be held on the dates during the times below at Lake Sawyer Church in the Event Center Gym.  Evaluations and orientation times will be assigned this year by last name.  Watch for an e-mail at the beginning of November with this information.

*Please wear non-marking shoes to evaluation, practices, and games.

Monday, November 12 between 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
OR
Tuesday, November 13 between 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Program Schedule

Practices are held every Monday or Tuesday night throughout the season.
Coaches will contact players at the beginning of December to let them know what night and time their practice is.

KEY DATES for 2018/19:
Registration Opens - Monday, September 17th
Evaluations - Monday, November 12th OR Tuesday, November 13th
Cheer Clinic - Friday, January 4th
Basketball Clinic - Saturday, January 5th
First Practices - Monday, January 7th or Tuesday, January 8th
First Game Day - Saturday, January 19th, 2018
Last Game Day - Saturday, March 9th
Awards Celebration Night - Monday, March 11th

NOTE: Due to Upward quidelines, we are able to accommodate practice night requests, but we cannot accommodate specifics times.  We will do our best to put siblings on the same night, however they may be practicing at different times.   In order to provide the best experience for the players with balanced teams, we will not be able to accommodate friend requests, coach requests, and game time requests.  See our FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS to find our more about how Upward places players on teams.

Volunteers for head or assistant coach will be given the choice of which night they would like to practice, and the option to place their child on their team.
