Middleton Youth Soccer has arranged for the professional coaches from SkillzCheck Soccer Academy to provide weekly skills clinics to our Grade 1/2 and Grade 3/4 players this season. The clinics will take place at the Transfer Station fields beginning on Tuesday April 13th, using the following schedule:
Tuesday 5-6pm: Grade 1/2 Boys & Girls
Tuesday 6-7pm: Grade 3/4 Boys
Wednesday 5-6pm: Grade 1/2 Boys & Girls
Wednesday 6-7pm: Grade 3/4 Girls
These clinics are optional and free for all players registered in our Grade 1/2 and Grade 3/4 Soccer divisions. No separate registration for the clinics themselves is needed. Just show up!
Grade 1/2 players are welcome to attend either session each week, or both if they would like. If the turnout is high and these clinics become too crowded to provide proper training, we might eventually change this policy to ask each player to attend no more than one session per week.
All players should bring their own soccer ball, a water bottle, and a face mask to these clinics. Face masks should be the type that loop around the ears (gaiter-style masks that go all the way around the neck are not allowed). All players should wear shin pads. Soccer cleats are optional, but recommended. Please also have your player bring a layer (sweatshirt or jacket) to wear if needed (the temperature often drops quite a bit in the early evening, especially in April/May.)
Parents/spectators must wear face masks.
For Grade 1/2 players, this is not a “drop-off” clinic (a parent or other adult should remain at the field while their player is participating in the clinic).
The clinics will run for 8 weeks, with the final clinics taking place on June 1 & 2.
