Results of State 11-yr tourney

Thursday, July 17
Mercy, mercy me. Canfield came out of the losers bracket with a pair of mercies over Avon to win the State 11-yr championship.

Wednesday, July 16
The finals are set. Avon sits atop the winner's bracket and Canfield gets the unenviable task of beating them twice tomorrow.
Canfield scored 6 to start the game, then one in the 6th to break a 6-6 deadlock.

Tuesday, July 15
Avon and Canfield were as even as could be through 4. But Avon was able to scratch out single runs in the 5th and 6th to get a 2-0 win. The win advances Avon to the championship game on Thursday,
North Canton topped Hamilton West Side, 4-1 and will get a chance to avenge their loss to Canfield tomorrow at 6 on Field #3.

Monday, July 14

2 games featuring the losers side of the bracket tonight.

West Side Hamilton (D9) knocks Symmes Valley (D11) out of the tournament.
North Canton (D4) deals Tallmadge (D1) their second defeat.

Sets us up for 2 great games tonight at 6pm --
Avon / Canfield on Field #3 battle as undefeateds.
North Canton / West Side have an elimination battle on Field #2
