Please select school affiliation when registering! We use this for determining team make up in the fall.


Key Dates: 
•Registration:  June 5, 2023, to August 4, 2023
•Teams announced the second week of August
•Practices start –  3rd week of August.
•Season begins on Saturday September 9th.
•Season ends on Saturday  between October 28th and November 4

WSLL FALL OVERVIEW

ONLINE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS


Returning WSLL Families:

  • You will need to reverify your paperwork for registration. The new software makes it easy to upload photos of the required documentation. You only need to do this once when you create your account with Sports Connect. 
  • If you have an account with Sports Connect you DO NOT need to create a new one.  Just select Log-in in the upper right corner

New WSLL families:

  • If your family did not have a player in WSLL in a recent spring or fall season (2022-2023), please go to http://www.littleleague.org/LeagueFinder.htm to ensure that your residence falls within WSLL boundaries.  If it does not, you will be allowed to register on a conditional basis, but may be asked for additional documentation to prove eligibility to play in WSLL this season (e.g., proof of school enrollment within WSLL boundaries).
  • Select Register in the upper right corner to begin. 

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTAIN PLAYERS

You may also be required to submit documentation if you are:

    1. New to WSLL Spring Baseball
    2. A player in your family is new to WSLL Spring Baseball
    3. You live outside the WSLL boundaries, but your child attends school within WSLL boundaries 
    4. Returning player who no longer lives or attends school within WSLL boundaries (requires waiver)

WSLL PLAYING LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS (TBall-MAJORS)

1) T-Ball

For young players who require some training in basic baseball concepts and skills

2) 1A (Machine Pitch)

Player can catch most balls thrown to them overhand from 40'.

Throw accurately to a 40’ target.

Hit the ball regularly in T-Ball, and at least occasionally, out of the infield.

Catch fly balls with glove fingers facing up.

3) AA (Player Pitch)

Catch 75% of the balls thrown to them overhand from 50’.

Throw accurately to a 50’ target

Hit the ball regularly at the 1A level, and at least occasionally out of the infield.

Catch fly balls routinely with glove fingers facing up and throw with good form.

4) AAA (Player Pitch)

Catch, with ease, almost every ball thrown from 60 feet.

Throw a ball with good mechanics accurately to a receiver 60’ away.

Hit the ball regularly with some authority, and, at least occasionally, out of the infield at the AA level.

Routinely catch fly balls in a proper fielding position.

5) Majors (Player Pitch)

Meet all of the qualifications of AAA players (as described below).

Have had some success in AAA; or, if they never played in AAA, demonstrate through tryouts or their play at other levels or leagues that they could have.

Early Registration will end on July 17th. Rates will increase by $25

Registration will close on August 4th.  Players attempting to register after August 4th may be wait-listed.

Scholarships

No child will be turned away due to inability to pay, regardless of skill level. WSLL has a scholarship application available for families with financial need: https://forms.gle/T6s22Way5JWf9Rcq5  or contact our scholarship coordinator with any questions.

Scholarship decisions are typically communicated in less than 7 days. If applying for a scholarship, please select "pay by check" at check out.

* Please note that scholarships do not cover the $100 volunteer fee, which is fully refundable. This can be paid via a check that will not be cashed, as long as you meet the volunteer requirements. You can also pay by card, and the charge will be refunded once requirements are met.

ELIGIBILITY RULES

  • All league ages based on the age of the player for Spring 2023 season. (please reference the chart above.)
  • Players must be at least age 5 by 8/31/23 to be eligible for Fall Baseball
  • Players receiving an age waiver this Spring (A-6; AA-7; AAA-8) are not eligible to play at the next level in Fall.
  • Players may stay at their Spring 2023 playing level or play up one level if they are ready to try it.  

SCHEDULE

  • Teams form in early to mid-August
  • Practices begin mid to late-August
  • Games likely to begin after Labor Day
  • Season ends in late October and November 4th

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

No child will be turned away for inability to pay, regardless of ability. If you wish to apply for a league scholarship, contact Kelly el-Yacoubi or fill out an online application.

WSLL BOUNDARY MAP

To verify WSLL eligibility enter home or school address at http://www.littleleague.org/LeagueFinder.htm . Your registration will be ‘flagged’ if the system does not recognize your address to be within the WSLL residential boundaries. You will be allowed to complete registration, but may be asked for additional documents to prove eligibility to play in WSLL (e.g., proof of school enrollment within WSLL boundaries) – For returning WSLL players, this documentation may already be on file with the WSLL Player Agent

BECOME A MANAGER OR COACH

Online Registration – Parents can register to manager or coach a team at the same time they register players.

If you would like to speak to a league representative about coaching opportunities or to learn more about coaching with WSLL, please contact the register or player agent.

 

EARN BACK YOUR VOLUNTEER FEE

WSLL Families, without volunteer support it is not possible to provide the full baseball experience to our children. There are several opportunities to assist the league to provide the best experience possible. Please select the link below to see a list of ways to volunteer.

  • All Levels:  Primarily by requests for specific teammates or coaches (not guaranteed), then by school and neighborhood.
  • For more information please see our fall ball team-building guidelines in Appendix D of the WSLL Administrative Policies.  

PLAYER/FAMILY INFORMATION

  • Please make sure to keep your contact information current (e.g., home address, phone numbers, etc.) to ensure you receive all important league communications
  • Also, please make sure your child’s current (or fall 2020) school is listed in your profile, as Fall Baseball teams are formed primarily by school

REFUND POLICY

Upon written request submitted to the President, Treasurer, or Commissioner received before August 1st, the League will refund 100% of amounts paid. Upon written request submitted to the President, Treasurer, or Commissioner before August 22nd, the League will refund 50% of the registration fee and 100% of any volunteer fee paid. A $10 handling charge for all refunds will be assessed. A $15 returned check fee will be charged for all returned checks (not sufficient funds/closed account.)
