adhere to in order to operate our program. These are a prerequisite to work with TBSC youth athletes and are provided at no cost to Coaches and

Concussion Awareness
To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, National Federation of State High School (NFHS)
developed CDC comliant concussion awareness certification. This initiative offers information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.
US Soccer Learning Center: Intro to Safety
Frequency: Recertification required annually, valid from date of completion.
Duration: 30 minutes or less.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness
Sudden Cardiac
Arrest is the number one cause of death in the United States for student athletes during exercise. With content developed by Simon's Heart, this course will help you learn and recognize the warning signs and symptoms of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Frequency: Recertification required annually, valid from date of completion.
Duration: 30 minutes or less.
SafeSport Certification
The U.S. Center for
SafeSport is designated by Congress through the Protecting Young
Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 (pdf) to serve as the independent national safe sport organization, with the responsibility for developing policies and
procedures to prevent the emotional, physical, and sexual abuse of amateur athletes.
SafeSport: Online Training
Frequency: Recertification required annually, valid from date of
completion.
Duration: about 60-90 minutes or less.
Risk Management (Background Check)
Frequency: Required annually, for the season. Must submit after Apr 1st, will cover Fall and Spring seasons.
Duration: 5 minutes or less.
