You Need To Know

Times Two Policy:

As a Soccer Association for Youth (SAY) affiliate, we adhere to their "Times Two Policy" which requires no less than two adults, (unrelated), per team to be present at all team functions such as games, practices, picnics, parties, etc. No Exceptions!

Under no circumstances should the activity take place if only one adult is present. This also means that no less than two adults must remain until the last player has been picked up by their parent. The two adults do not have to be coaches - they can be a combination of coaches, parents, board members, etc.

SAY has also recommended that volunteers not provide transportation for non-family members. This was more of an insurance issue, but now also has implications in regards to the intent of the "Times Two" policy.

While the focus of this policy is the child's safety, it also provides protection to our volunteers in case of misunderstandings.

Parents - please let your Coach know if you can help out as a"Times Two" Volunteer

Reminder Parents to sit on the parents side of the field. No one is aloud to be behind the goals.

Before You Leave Home

Your player will need to bring their soccer ball, shin guards and cleats to all practices and games.  Please bring a large bottle of coldwater or other non-caffeinated drink with them to drink at the field.  Your child plays hard and needs to be kept hydrated for safety.  We suggest that your child has sun screen on - it's very easy to get sunburn on the field.  You may want to have bug spray for them at practice or evening games.

Please bring your Medical Release, Parental Code of Conduct and Player Codeof Conduct forms to your first practice to give to your coach.

Inclement Weather

The weather can sometimes get in the way of playing the game of soccer.  Lightning, extreme wind, and poor field conditions due to large amounts of rain can make it hazardous for our players to be out on the field.  If your game has already started, your Referees will make the decision whether to stop the game (or a league Rep.).  If our area is already in the midst of bad weather or bad weather is approaching, your Fairfield SAY Soccer Administrators may make the decision earlier in the day on whether to cancel games.

Call 513- 829-0974 to find out if games will be played or cancelled.
