MOSA Referee Fees

The referee and assistant referee fee(s) will be paid in full by the home team. The referee(s) should be paid before the start of the game.

NOTES:(a) Assistant Referee fees equal one-half the applicable Referee Fee per Assistant Referee. (b) If one team fails to show for a game, the team at the field will pay the referee fee, the team that failed to show will pay MOSA and MOSA will reimburse the club that paid. If the referee must cancel a game because of an unplayable field or weather conditions, the referee(s) should still be paid. Once the referee crew at the field declares that the field is unplayable, that game and all following games on that field for that same day are canceled.

MNJYSA Referee Fees

The referee and assistant referee fee(s) will be equally divided between both teams. The referee(s) should be paid before the start of the game.

EDP Referee Fees

See the table below. Please note that:

  • Fees are split between the two participating teams at all EDP games.
  • Fees should be paid in advance of the match.
  • Posted EDP Fees below are the “default” fees. Occasionally, the prevailing rate in a specific game’s region is greater than the posted EDP rate. Visiting teams should be informed of such rate in advance, and are expected to honor it if the fees are being split for the match.

NJ Youth Soccer State Cup Referee fees

See the table below. Please note that:

  • NJ Youth Soccer will work with the NJ State Referee Committee to assign referees for the finals only (unless otherwise communicated by NJYS).
  • Referee fees will be split by teams 50/50 for play dates and quarterfinal rounds. NJYS will assign and pay referee fees for the final round.
  • The USSF approved referee assignment policy is preferred when assigning referees:
       1. Referee and two neutral uniformed assistant referees.
       2. Referee and two club linesmen.
       3. One referee is working alone.
  • In the event that no assigned referee appears at the field within 30 minutes of the scheduled game time, two choices are available:
       1. The game may be played with a mutually acceptable substitute referee.
       2. Both teams may elect to play the game at another time but before the following Wednesday. NJ Youth Soccer must be notified. The home team will lose the home-field advantage.
