Coach & Team Parent Requirements

Manager/Coach Requirements for the 2022 Season

1. Volunteer Applications: All managers, coaches and team parents must log into SportsConnect (SC) and upload a copy of their driver’s license. For those of you that already have a SC account, you just need to go to the "Volunteer" tab on the left hand side and click on the GREEN "Find Volunteer Roles" button. If you do not already have a SC account, go to lincolnglenbaseball.com and create one, then go through the steps above. For board members, select the "League Administrator" role. Shortly thereafter, you will receive an email from JDP inviting you to submit a volunteer application online at JDP. This must be completed before they begin any practices. If you have any questions please contact Becky Jones at mailto:[email protected].

2. LiveScan Fingerprinting: Effective January 1, 2022, new California state law went into effect to protect children from sexual abuse in youth organizations, including Little League. California passed Assembly Bill No.506, that requires a fingerprint-based background check and child abuse and neglect reporting training for individuals who volunteer more than 16 hours a month or 32 hours a year, which, for Little League, includes coaches, managers, board members and umpires.

In addition to the JDP background check, Lincoln Glen will require that all of our managers, coaches, board members and umpires who have not already done so, must complete LiveScan fingerprinting. If you are not sure if you have completed this task before for LGLL, please see the attached list of volunteers who have already completed this LiveScan requirement. Please bring the Live Scan form (attached) directly to Verify Group located at 262 E Hamilton Ave Suite A, Campbell, CA 95008 for fingerprinting. They are open M-F and on Saturdays, and you should call to make sure someone is available before you head there. (408) 761-2156. You can also book an appointment online at https://verifygroup.com/. The fee for this LiveScan service will be invoiced directly to LGLL. This must be completed before they begin any practices. If you have any questions please contact Becky Jones at mailto:[email protected].

Volunteer Requirements

Anyone wishing to manage, coach or be a team parent this season can check the appropriate box in the team staff section of the registration system.  You will be able to complete your background check directly with JDP (the Little League International approved background check company).  Please make sure to include your driver’s license as one of your proof of residency as it is required to complete the background check. We also offer options to volunteer in our Snack Shack, Field Prep days, as well as signing up for Field Maintenance shifts during game days.

Please remember that Little League is an all-volunteer organization, dependent upon parents willing to volunteer to make our league work and become stronger. Within this registration process, you will have opportunities to volunteer for different positions and activities such as coaching or running the snack shack. Lincoln Glen Little League requires 1 parent volunteer per registered player. If you choose to opt out of volunteering, a $250.00 payment is required. All volunteers must register in our system for their specific role(s). If you fail to complete your volunteer requirement by May 30th, 2022, your credit card on file will be charged $250 after that date.

All families will need to create an account prior to completing their first registration within the system. In subsequent years, you may log in with your account information to register. Once you create your account, add the secondary guardian info as well as child info to the account. Once you complete these steps, you will be prompted to register your child(ren) for our Spring programs. Fill out all required fields (marked with an asterisk). Register all players in your family and then proceed to check out. You can pay with your credit card. You will receive a confirmation email and as well as confirmation screen page.
