1. Volunteer Applications: All managers, coaches and team parents must log into SportsConnect (SC) and upload a copy of their driver’s license. For those of you that already have a SC account, you just need to go to the "Volunteer" tab on the left hand side and click on the GREEN "Find Volunteer Roles" button. If you do not already have a SC account, go to lincolnglenbaseball.com and create one, then go through the steps above. For board members, select the "League Administrator" role. Shortly thereafter, you will receive an email from JDP inviting you to submit a volunteer application online at JDP. This must be completed before they begin any practices. 2. LiveScan Fingerprinting: Effective January 1, 2022, new California state law went into effect to protect children from sexual abuse in youth organizations, including Little League. California passed Assembly Bill No.506, that requires a fingerprint-based background check and child abuse and neglect reporting training for individuals who volunteer more than 16 hours a month or 32 hours a year, which, for Little League, includes coaches, managers, board members and umpires.
In addition to the JDP background check, Lincoln Glen will require that all of our managers, coaches, board members and umpires who have not already done so, must complete LiveScan fingerprinting. If you are not sure if you have completed this task before for LGLL, please see the attached list of volunteers who have already completed this LiveScan requirement. Please bring the Live Scan form (attached) directly to Verify Group located at 262 E Hamilton Ave Suite A, Campbell, CA 95008 for fingerprinting. They are open M-F and on Saturdays, and you should call to make sure someone is available before you head there. (408) 761-2156. You can also book an appointment online at https://verifygroup.com/. The fee for this LiveScan service will be invoiced directly to LGLL. This must be completed before they begin any practices.
