Born in Argentina. Played in Argentina at a youth level in his city of Rosario for Club Atletico Central Cordoba.
Starting goalkeeper during his four years in New Jersey Institute of Technology
(NJIT) where he graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineer.
Rudy was the recipient of the Outstanding Soccer Award for the all-time Top Goalkeeper in the history of NJIT and also for the most consecutive shout-outs (9) in one season
Voted "All-State Goalkeeper" by the colleague soccer coaches of New Jersey in 1977.
Continued playing semi-pro for New York Atlas and Brooklyn Italians in the Helenic and Italian-American Leagues
In 1984 played for Mola Di Bari in the Italian 3rd Division Calcio.
Played for the New Jersey Eagles in the American Soccer League {ASL) for two seasons (1989-1990).
Rudy was selected to play for the Pan American All-Star Latin American Team from New York City. He traveled with the team and play in Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. He also played several international matches in the
U.S.A. against Sports Boys from Peru and Miguel Angel Firpo from El Salvador in Paterson NJ and in New York City Randall Island Stadium. Sporting Cristal from Peru in Washington D.C. and against an all-star team from Mexico in Los Angeles CA.
