ANGLES 13U Loses to Moonlight 5-3

Gaffney, SC - FBH ANGELS 13U lost to Moonlight Baseball Club 13U 5-3 on Sunday in a competitive matchup.

FBH ANGELS 13U struck first in the opening inning when Emmanuel C. doubled, bringing in a run. Moonlight Baseball Club 13U tied the game at one in the bottom of the second, capitalizing on a passed ball.

In the top of the fourth, FBH ANGELS 13U took a 3-1 lead, scoring two runs off an error. However, Moonlight Baseball Club 13U surged back in the bottom of the fourth. Crews W. singled, Abney W. was hit by a pitch, Charlie K. walked, and Beau B. brought runners home, flipping the game to a 5-3 lead.

Beau B. earned the win for Moonlight Baseball Club 13U, pitching five innings, allowing two hits and three runs (none earned), with four strikeouts and three walks. Levi B. took the loss for FBH ANGELS 13U, surrendering four runs on two hits in one-third of an inning. Keagen R. started for FBH ANGELS 13U, allowing two hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking five.

Emmanuel C. led FBH ANGELS 13U with three RBIs, going 1-for-2. Cohen L. and Emmanuel C. each collected one hit, with Cohen L. stealing two bases. FBH ANGELS 13U also turned one double play.

For Moonlight Baseball Club 13U, Beau B., Jack S., Declan N., Crews W., and Bennett E. each had a hit. Beau B., Charlie K., Crews W., and Abney W. each drove in a run, with Charlie K. drawing two walks. The team exhibited patience at the plate, collecting seven walks and turning two double plays.

Despite their efforts, FBH ANGELS 13U couldn't overcome the mid-game surge by Moonlight Baseball Club 13U, resulting in a 5-3 loss.
