Tournament paperwork meetings are scheduled to be held at LaGrange Park on Thursday, June 13,2024 at 5:30 and Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 6P. The Tournament Team Manager and Field Tournament Director need attend only one of these meetings. Fred C will explain the requirements of the Tournament Director and hand out helpful information.
Here comes the paperwork. For proof of player residency, it is easiest to use the Little League issued school attendance form. It has to be signed by the school's principal, assistant principal, or an administrator authorized to sign on behalf of the principal. Otherwise, three proofs of residency dated or in force between February 1,2023 and February 1, 2024 need to be submitted. See the link below.
Little League has advised that in Group 2, a vehicle registration can not be considered a State Record.
For proof of age, an original, raised seal document issued by a Federal or State agency of vital statistics is required. The document needs to be verified by the President, Player Agent and the District Administrator and will be returned to the parent. This document need not be carried in the Tournament Binder. Do the best you can.
The manager and both coaches must have taken the Diamond LeaderTraining Program and the certificate should be included in the binder. Only the manager and two coaches are permitted in the dugout. There is no on deck batter position and no swinging of bats. A coach is permitted to warm up the pitcher. The continuous batting order will be in effect and free substitutions on defense.
The roster shall consist of 12 players minimum. The roster can go to 14 players.
We are expecting two umpires per game.
As of tonight's meeting, the tentative start date for the 8,9,10 Baseball Tournament is June 20th. The Majors Baseball Tournament will start on June 21. BB Sections begin on July 13 so we would like to wrap up BB District play around July 10. Rich will have SB start date ready in a day or so. Section play for SB Majors begins July 1. Sections for SB 8,9,10 begin July 9.
