Register now for the 2012 season! Upward® basketball and cheerleading teaches core skills necessary for competing at the next level. All kids get equal playing time and get to start at least one game. Registration includes 8 weeks of 1 hr. practices and games, high quality uniform, t-shirt, welcome package, monthly magazine, end of season gift, and a positive family environment.

Upward® Basketball and Cheerleading provides a fun environment built around healthy competition for kids, teaching skills for the sports arena and values for life. From the first game introduction to the season's Awards Celebration, Upward Sports™ is specifically designed to reveal the winner in every single child.

Upward® Basketball offers competitive games through balanced talent on each team. Upward Basketball's unique substitution system is designed to provide every child equal playing time, along with competing against an equally matched opponent. The substitution system ensures every player gets to start at least one game.

Upward® Cheerleading allows children to learn the fundamentals in an exciting, positive, safe envirnment. Each child is provided a high quality uniform so they look and feel like a 'pro'. Cheers are age group specific, so each child gains confidence as they learn new skills.

Upward® Coaches and Referees are trained on the unique rules of the specific upward sport. Each receive a coaches manual and DVD, ensuring they have the tools to teach fundamental skills, techniques, and rules. Referees are all volunteer and are trained to take part in coaching and teaching players.

Founded in 1995 by Caz McCaslin, Upward Sports™ is the world’s largest Christian sports league for children. The first-class sports experience—which includes basketball, flag football, soccer and cheerleading—provides a fun sports experience based on healthy competition for kids, teaching skills for the sports arena and values for life. Today, more than a half million children in 46 states and four countries participate in Upward Sports™ leagues hosted by 2,600 churches.

Registration Info

Early Bird Registration begins August 20, 2011 through October 24, 2011. Final registration ends on November 19, 2011. You may register online right now. You can also fill out a registration form and drop it by the Oak Park Church Office (405-275-4330), 11th and Pesotum, Shawnee, OK Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm.
