Code of Conduct/Sport Facility Rules

Code of Conduct:

Below is a link to take you to the the Stafford Township Youth Sports Code of Conduct Form.  This form is required to be read, understood and signed by ALL parents, coaches and players.  It is imperative that everyone who signs this form completely understands what it is saying and the consequences that may result from YOUR actions if you should choose to disobey the Code of Conduct.  

"All leagues are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct and to make all participants and their parents aware of the Code of Conduct as well. All coaches, athletes, parents, league officials, and spectators are expected to behave in a manner that reflects respect and good sportsmanship at all times.    

The ultimate decision concerning appropriate behavior in a game situation shall rest with the certified official(s) working the game. If a certified official requests or directs that a player, coach, parent or spectator leave the playing area, the person is to leave immediately. If a confrontation develops at any time, league officials are encouraged to seek the immediate assistance of the Stafford Township Police Department. Any and all participants in any type of physical confrontation or altercation shall forfeit their privilege of participating in or attending any Stafford Township athletic event for one year in addition to any other penalties imposed by the league or any other agency."

Concussion Certification

Online Concussion Awareness Training -

All Coaches MUST take the Online Concussion Course -- NJYS will require coaches submit proof of course completion.   

Get prepared now -- to coach!

  1. Coaches make sure you bring the correct breakdown of referee fees for the game, which is available at the MOSA website.
  2. The flight coordinator can not post forfeits or corrections and protests must go through the MOSA secretary.
  3. If a game needs to be made up after starting, the time of the halves played must be equal.
  4. Small-sided teams must have the players and their parents sit on the same side of the field.

If there is a pre-play, times for other games scheduled that day may change, coaches must check scheduled times each week. 

The best day to schedule a pre-play will be Saturday or Friday.  All games must be scheduled with Gary Shinn ( well in advance!

Please remember coaches are responsible for player and parent conduct.  Everyone involved with any sponsored activities must realize that the game is for the players.  Coaches and adults must ensure the players experience a sense of enjoyment, satisfaction and accomplishment during games and training.

Referee Grade 8 Course


SSC will not be hosting a grade 9 (recreational level) referee course at this time.  Min. age is 14 years old for grade 9 referee certificate.

A grade 8 referee certificate is required to referee travel level matches in New Jersey. 
Note: Minimum age is 16 yrs old for grade 8.

Stafford Township Winter Wonderland & Santa's Workshop

Saturday, December 6th 11am-2pm

Children are invited to Santa’s Workshop for a day of Christmas shopping.  Many great gifts will be available for children to purchase and give to that special someone.  Whether it is for that special teacher or those priceless grandparents, kids will find it here.  All gifts cost $1.00 or less.  Children will also be able to wrap their presents and enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies on a chilly afternoon.

Stafford Township Tree Lightning - Friday, December 5th at 6pm

Join us for a holiday tradition spronsored by the Recreation Department and the Mayor and Council.  It is guaranteed to get you into the spirit of the season.  Carolers and children from local schools will be providing festive entertainment.  Miss Stafford, Little Miss Stafford and Little Town Crier will assist Mayor John Spodofora in lighting this year's tree.  Two very special guests will arrive on one of Stafford's shiny, red fire trucks and remain for pictures with children inside of our heated tent after the ceremony.  Refreshments will also be served.  We hope your family will be part of a wonderful holiday tradition in Stafford Township

U-10 Hurricanes - Shoprite Fundraiser  
Everyone has to go grocery shopping so why not support the U-10 boys soccer team buy purchasing a $100 gift card to Shoprite.

It doesn’t cost you anything extra and the boys earn 5% on each card sold!

The money raised will go towards tournaments, equipment, and other team expenses.

The Stafford Soccer Club will be holding its upcoming monthly meeting on Thursday 12/04/14 @ 7:30 pm in the Ocean Acres Community Center.
