Travel soccer is a fall and spring commitment. Teams form in summer to begin play in September. Fall travel soccer runs for ten weeks and ends in November. Spring travel soccer starts in March and continues through late May. Girls play in the South Jersey Girls Soccer League (www.sjgsl.org) while boys play in the South Jersey Soccer League (www.sjsl.org). Girls wishing to play for a boys team may tryout as long as they are age appropriate.

Travel soccer, while still being developmental, is also more competitive by design. Players and parents are expected to make a year long commitment to the team if accepted. Teams typically practice twice per week for 60-120 minutes. Half of the games are 'away' games and the distance varies depending on the schedule set by the respective leagues. Typically teams do not travel more than an hour to the 'away' games. All league games are within the state of NJ and typically confined to the southern half of the state.  Girl's games are on Saturdays and Boy's games are on Sundays.

FEES:  There are no fees for tryouts.  

Once accepted to a team, the following are the registration fees:  

Fall 2010 HSC Travel Registration Fee is $120 per player, which is $95 for registration and $25 for the Raffle Fundraiser. You will receive five $5 raffle tickets which you can sell or keep for yourself. 

Spring 2011 HSC Travel Registration Fee is $120 per player, which is $95 for registration and $25 for the Raffle Fundraiser.  You will receive five $5 raffle tickets which you can sell or keep for yourself.  

Payment is not due until a player has been selected to a team. The Registration Fee is due upon acceptance to the team to secure a players spot on a team and is non-refundable.  There is a $10 late fee for each season if payment is not made by the deadline.

In addition to the registration fee, players will be responsible for their uniform costs (approx $65) and any discretionary expenditures (i.e. tournaments fees, spirit wear, third party professional training, end of season gifts or parties).   

Acceptance to a team is effective one registration is complete and payment is received (credit card online or personal check).  If paying by check, make checks payable to: Hainesport SC, PO Box 264, Hainesport, NJ 08036.
