Director of Coaching

Rafa spent his playing days on the pitch for clubs in Brazil and then at the collegiate level for the University of Charleston winning a National Championship in 2017.

After his playing days, he jumped into the club level coaching teams and ODP in Michigan before settling in WV, where he is now coaching the ODP again. He has served as a club coach in the Kanawha Valley, as an assistant for the Marshall University Men’s program, and also an assistant with the Ohio University women’s team. He is currently rly the head coach for the two time WV state cup champion RVSC Select 2006 girls team and the RVSC 2008 girls team.

Taking on the DOC position will allow him to continue with his two teams as well as work the the entire club as we expand and grow. Rafa’s knowledge of the game and unmatched enthusiasm for teaching youth players is a huge asset to our club and we can’t wait to announce all the training programs in our RVSC Skills Academy available to help our players learn and become the best they can.
