Field Closings Policy
When Fairfax County closes fields, AC Cugini must cancel practices and games. Fields are closed because of inclement weather or sometimes, even on sunny days, when grass fields are saturated due to prior rain.
Notification to Club
The County and the club will close grass fields due to muddy conditions. Parents, players, coaches, and team managers should always check the AC Cugini facebook page or Cugini website, or Fairfax County hotline after periods of rain or in winter on extremely cold days! In addition, artificial turf fields will be closed if snow or ice covers the field. No one is permitted to remove any snow or ice from the field. We also cancel practices if temperatures are predicted to be below freezing!
AC Cugini members should never check websites of other clubs for field closing information on fields that AC Cugini teams use.
During the Fall and Spring seasons, AC Cugini posts cancellations by 3:00pm on weeknights and 8:30am on Saturday and Sunday.
During the Winter, season, AC Cugini posts cancellations by 3:00pm on weeknights and 10:00am on Saturday on Sunday.
