Pulcini House League - Coed Ages 6-9

Uniqueness of the AC Cugini Program

When people ask what makes AC Cugini different from other soccer "clubs", the answer starts with our house league. AC Cugini is the ONLY club in Virginia to provide all  recreational "House" league players professional instruction at every practice! We do not leave the instruction to volunteer parents or have volunteer parents working under the direction of professional trainers to develop players. This program also prepares current U8 age players for future AC Cugini travel teams. AC Cugini is also one of the few, or perhaps the only, club offering an outdoor winter house league.

The Pulcini House League program includes 2 hours of the highest quality training every week each Fall, Winter, and Spring in a truly FUN learning environment. Team tactics and competition are kept to a minimum in these formative years; there is no focus on winning or losing, per the philosophy and methodology of all Italian soccer schools. AC Cugini house league fees are kept low to ensure all children can participate. We also provide scholarships to players with financial need.

In addition, AC Cugini is the only local youth soccer club that is a school first and foremost and the first and only official Italian scuola calcio (soccer academy) in North America sanctioned by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC). This means ALL Cugini members, ages 6 to 18, follow the same CONI & FIGC player development program — training proven to be successful in producing one of the top professional leagues and national teams in the world for over 100 years. AC Cugini is also the only soccer organization in North America to have had formal affiliations with two professional Italian soccer clubs — AC Perugia and ACF Fiorentina.

AC Cugini is also the only local soccer club that offers FREE House League registration to brothers and sisters of players  registered on AC Cugini travel teams in the 11-month program or Cugini Suburban Friendship League teams.

AC Cugini makes sure all its professional trainers and coaches, on recreational or travel teams, adhere to the same player development program - in AC Cugini's case - an Italian Olympic training program and philosophy, designed to follow a player each step of their development beginning at age 6. Parents are urged to review the AC Cugini website thoroughly and ask school officials any questions before they enroll their child in any AC Cugini program. AC Cugini also encourages all parents to ask any club or trainer for specific information on exactly what player development program the club, coach, or trainer follows, before enrollment, as this information is crucial to understanding the quality of the program, the qualifications of the instructor, and if the program is a good fit for your child.

Head Instructor

The head instructor for 6 to 9 year olds in the Piccoli Amici House League is AC Cugini's Founder and President Fabio Diletti. A native Italian, Fabio is a professional trainer and talent scout who played goalkeeper for Italian professional club Ascoli Calcio - founded in 1898 (www.ascolicalcio.it). Fabio possesses a UEFA license and receives training twice a year in Italy through Italian National Olympic Committee and Italian Soccer Federation coach training programs. Fabio has been coaching and training American players in the United States and Italy for over 20 years. Coach Diletti is the Head Coach of the Langley High School Girls JV Soccer team and Assistant Coach of the Langley Girls Varsity team.
