Overview of Fairview Soccer Program

Fairview Soccer participates in the Cincinnati SAY East Soccer League, a non profit organization (https://www.sayeast.org/).  Cincinnati SAY East provides recreational and competitive leagues for children ages 4 to 18.  Fairview Soccer fields both boys and girls teams in 3 age groups within the Cincinnati SAY East age structure:

• Passers (U8) - Age 5 to 7.  Fall Season 1st/2nd Grade; Spring Season K/1st Grade*

• Wings (U10) - Age 7 to 9.  Fall Season 3rd/4th Grade; Spring Season 2nd/3rd Grade

• Strikers (U12) - Age 9 to 11.  Fall Season 5th/6th Grade; Spring Season 4th/5th Grade**

Cincinnati SAY East uses rules that stipulate that a child’s age as of July 31st determines the level for which he or she will play for the year.  Refer to Cincinnati SAY East website for updated age matrix for the upcoming season.

*For the Fall season Kindergartners have the option to participate in a Soccer Shots program (link to Soccer Shots program site)

**For outgoing 6th graders in the Spring season they will most likely not be eligible to participate in the Fairview Strikers (U12) program.  They have the option of playing for the SAY East Walnut Hills U14 or other neighborhood programs such as Clifton Soccer or Northside Soccer.
