Pateadores New Mexico Mission Statement

In alignment with the Pateadores Soccer Club, the Pateadores NM Soccer Club believes that by creating an environment with an emphasis on organization, innovation, energy and competition we will unite members of our club in the pursuit of excellence. The club also believes that placing an intelligently applied work ethic in the areas of both academics and soccer helps develop maturity and self-confidence. Furthermore, we believe that the experiences a player has with the Pateadores will be beneficial throughout his or her lifetime.

The goals of the Pateadores NM are as follows:

  • To help develop each player to his fullest potential as a person and as a soccer player.
  • To give the aspiring, elite New Mexico soccer player an opportunity for additional training and development in an environment that is player centric.
  • To offer additional key developmental programming including mental coaching and nutritional instruction.
  • To provide positive role models for younger players to emulate.
  • To develop National Championship caliber teams.
  • To expose Pateadores players to USSF, collegiate and professional opportunities.

It is our intention to make a positive impact on the New Mexico soccer community as a whole by enriching the current experiences available to all youth players who are interested.  We want to focus on the whole player, and provide opportunities for them to grow and gain the skills and knowledge to reach their fullest potential.

About Pateadores NM

Pateadores NM, is a Chapter of the Pateadores Soccer Club.   Our teams play in the Duke City League as well as other regional leagues as appropriate and available. Our players will have opportunities to train and guest play with Pateadores teams in southern California. Our coaches will have opportunities to train both in New Mexico and in California with Pateadores and Roma coaches and will have the full Pateadores resources available to them. We will also host camps and clinics through the Pateadores NM as well as have futsal teams and training.  Focusing on the whole player, our players will also receive mental and nutritional coaching.

Our club is also launching the Pateadores NM Developmental Academy that will follow the USSF boys and girls curriculum combined with Vela Soccer curriculum. The Pateadores NM Developmental Academy will mainly focus on Sunday only training sessions starting on Sunday, October 18 and will go through the fall (details below).  The sessions will be held at Bosque School on their Wood Field.

All players in New Mexico who are seeking additional training, who are focused and committed to furthering their soccer skills and knowledge, will be welcome regardless of financial ability to pay.  Each player will receive a document that will be signed by their club coach allowing them to participate in the training.  The document will specifically state that the player’s participation is voluntary, will never take precedence over their club team commitments, and that the training sessions will be a no poaching environment.  Furthermore, players who participate in the Sunday Pateadores NM Sunday Developmental Academy sessions will be encouraged to also participate in NMYSA ODP and any other training and development opportunities that become available to them.
