Coach Training and Licensing Info

Billy Graham once said, “A coach will impact more young people in one year than an average person does in a lifetime.”

If you are considering coaching, or have coached for us previously and want to learn more:
Like any other task in life that we attempt and realize we enjoy, we seek to try it again with improvement.  Our kids deserve the best we can give them and North River is intent on developing the best cadre of coaches we can.  That begins with you!

Want to be a better coach?

Check out the USSF website's information on the Intro to Grassroots Coaching course.  It takes about 20 minutes and has no costs.

Here is the USSF overview of the course:

This free introductory module, which represents the first step in the newly revised coaching license pathway, is now the general starting point of the pathway and is the required prerequisite to undergo any of U.S. Soccer's Grassroots Licensing Courses. Coaches who complete the module will also be provided with four complimentary Play-Practice-Play training sessions.

The module takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
