Jersey Premier Soccer & Swedesboro-Woolwich SA Partner To Offer Players A Brighter Soccer Future
Jersey Premier Soccer is delighted to announce a strategic partnership with Swedesboro-Woolwich Soccer Association (SWSA) to enhance the development of players at all levels throughout the club. The Swedesboro-Woolich SA / JPS collaboration will provide players and teams the opportunity to develop further as well as the higher level teams being able to compete with some of the best clubs in the area. Swedesboro-Woolwich is an established club, and by adding the JPS philosophies, the future certainly seems bright for all involved.
“This partnership is great for both parties involved. The young players of Swedesboro-Woolwich SA will be receiving coaching from some of the brightest and innovative coaches in the area and JPS continue to work with new clubs and keep pushing to the next level” said Neil Holloway, JPS General Manager.
SWSA are a well respected and forward thinking soccer club who work with kids from 4 years old to all the travel team age groups. SWSA has been commended on its work with disabled players through their TopSoccer program. This programs idea is to create situations where every athlete has the opportunity to shine. The SWSA philosophy of player development fits in well with JPS and it will be a smooth transition as the JPS coaches begin working with the players. JPS and SWSA want players to improve in an enjoyable setting that looks at long-term development rather than just preparing to win the next game.
Swedesboro-Woolwich Soccer Assocation is proud to be a part of US Youth Soccer’s TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) and offer its own program. The goal of the program is to foster the physical, mental, and emotional growth of these young athletes through the sport of soccer. Through our trained and supportive volunteers, every athlete will be instilled with self-confidence and self-pride throughout the course of our program. Soccer is an excellent medium for exercise, improving coordination, and meeting other children who face the same challenges. Most importantly, it is a great way to have fun.
TOPSoccer is available to young athletes between the ages of 4 to 18 years old with a range of mental or physical challenges, including blind or visually impaired, autism, Down syndrome, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, and all others. All athletes will be placed into groups based on ability, not age and all activities will be designed based on the abilities of the athletes. The idea is to create situations where every athlete has the opportunity to shine.
The safety of the athletes is very important to us. To assist in every athlete’s safety, shin guards under socks must be worn at all times without exception. And in the event of an emergency, parents or guardians must remain at every event for the entire duration.
