Soccer cleats are mandatory - no baseball, softball, or football cleats allowed
Shin guards are required
Size 4 soccer ball is required

Water bottle is recommended
U12 soccer creates a fun, soccer environment in which players learn to enjoy the game through greater skills. Individual player development continues to be the focus as team concepts are reinforced. Fundamental soccer techniques are reinforced and players continue to develop individual and team tactics of the game through exposure to a variety of soccer positions. Principles of attacking and defending are incorporated into age appropriate soccer activities. Players are placed in coed or girls teams that are led by a volunteer head coach who conducts practice with support from the Recreational Director. Teams practice twice a week for an hour and play regularly scheduled 9v9 (including goalkeepers) soccer games typically on Saturdays. All of the rules of soccer are in effect for games.

Practice Location: Big Shanty or Noonday Park, though additional SSA Kennesaw venues may be used.
Game Schedule: Mostly Saturdays, with typically half of the season's games at Big Shanty, with the remainder as away games against other local SSA programs such as Cartersville, Marietta and Paulding.
Game Format: 9 v 9 (including GK)
Game Duration: 1 game, consisting of 2x30 minute halves
Field Size: approx. 60 x 80 yards

In the event of rain-outs, the club will look to ensure that a minimum of 8 game dates are played across the season. Make-up practices are subject to field and coach availability.
