FAQ - Residential Academy

When and wear are the camps?

What is included in the price?

        -With the registration fee, all players will receive overnight accommodations, all meals, beginning with dinner on day 1 and ending with breakfast on day 4, an academy training top and top level instruction from an experience collegiate coach.

 

Who can register?

        -The camp is open to all boys that will be in high school as of the fall of 2013.

What time is check in / check out?

        -Check in is at 12pm on Sunday and Check Out is at 12pm on Wednesday.

 

What do you offer for Goalkeepers?

        -We realize that goalkeepers have specific needs.  Our Goalkeeper Academy offers specialized goalkeeping training for the first part of every session.  Then, the goalkeepers are incorporated in the full team sessions for live action and evaluation by our goalkeeping staff.  Our Goalkeeping Staff is comprised of Collegiate Goalkeeping Coaches.

 

Is there a registration deadline?

        -There is not a firm deadline.  However, all prices increase on May 1.  Also, space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

 

What if I need to cancel?

        -Anyone needing to cancel after registering, will be given a credit to attend any other USA session in the future.

 

Do I have to stay overnight?

        -While it is highly recommended that all players stay overnight to get the full sense of the Academy experience, we do offer a Commuter rate for those interested.  All commuters MUST sign in and out each day with a designated member of the USA staff.

 

Where do the players stay and eat?

        -All players and staff stay in air conditioned dorms on the college campus and all meals are provided in the campus cafeteria by the college's dining services, giving the players the true college experience.

 

What if I need to check in late or check out early?

        -We understand that players have very tight summer schedules.  We are happy to accommodate late check in or early check out.  Simply, register online and then email us to let us know of your circumstance.  All late arrivals and early departures must sign in/out with the coaching staff.

 

What if a player gets hurt?

        -We have a Certified Athletic Trainer on-site 24 hours a day during the camp.  The trainer will be on the field for all sessions.  All players will know the trainers room number as well, in case something comes up during the times we are not on the field.  All parents will be notified in cases where injury will prevent a player from participating.  Any allergies or specific medical issues should be told to the trainer at the time of check in on Day 1.

 

Is transportation to and from the airport provided?

        -For a small fee, transportation to and from the airport can be provided.  Please contact us with your flight schedule for more details.

 

Is there a camp store?

        -Yes.  The camp store will have gear for sale, as well as, Gatorade, snacks and pizza each night.  Water will be provided in large jugs outside the trainers room.  All players should bring their own water bottle.

 

Should I bring money?

        -It is recommended that players bring minimal cash.  Other than the camp store, there is no other opportunities for spending during the camp. 

 

Can a player contact a coach not on the staff and invite them to attend?

        -Not only is this permissible, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!  Any college coach not on our staff is invited to attend any portion of our week.  Please advise the coach to contact us, so we can get him/her on field access while they are there.

What is the daily schedule?
