Frequently Asked Questions

What age does my camper have to be to attend camp?

The all Sports Camp is for campers ages 5-14

What does my camper need to bring to camp?

Campers will need to bring a water bottle, lunch, morning and afternoon snack, change of clothes, swimsuit, towel, goggles.  Tennis racquet,  and baseball glove (we have extra tennis racquets and baseball gloves)

During the summer sessions concession stand items and pizza are available to purchase each morning of camp)

How do I register my camper for the half day option only?
When you register for the week you would like for your camper to attend, you will choose the full week option first.  The next screen will show your "shopping cart" which will include all the weeks registered.  Click next at the bottom and it will take you to the additional questions page.  At the bottom of this page is a section titled discounts and fees.  You can click the option to attend for the half day only in this section.

Do campers play each sport each day?

Campers rotate in sports stations in the morning and learn a new skill in each sport each day.   For example if they are at their basketball station, on Monday they will learn passing, and Tuesdays, ball handling, Wednesday defense etc.

What is a typical day at camp like?

From 9:30-12:00 pm campers rotate through sports stations.  Each day they will skip a sport to ensure that they have their snack time each day.  12:00-1:00pm is our break time for lunch.  Half day campers are dismissed between 12:30 and 1:00pm.  The afternoon consists of free play and game time in the gym and swim time.  The younger campers swim first while the older campers have gym time, and then it switches.  After swim time campers prepare to go home for the day.

Are campers grouped by age?

Yes.  The number of campers in each age group determines how campers will be grouped.  For example, if there are not enough 5 year olds to make a group, they will be grouped with the 6 year olds.  7-8 year olds are grouped together, etc..  If any -one age group is large enough it will have its own group.

How does swim time work?

Swim time is a free swim.  There is no formal instruction by the counselors.  During the summer session you do have the option of registering online for Dynamo Swim lessons up until the first week in May.

What if my camper cannot swim?

Campers who cannot swim are given a life jacket and are required to stay in the shallow end of the pool.  Campers who want to swim in the deep end are required to take the swim test before they are allowed to swim in the deep end.

Who monitors the campers during Pool time?

There are counselors stationed around the pool deck and 2 life guards on duty during pool time for the younger and older camper.  Counselors are not required to swim with campers, but they do have that option as long as there are enough counselors on the pool deck.

Who are the counselors?

The head instructors and counselors are college aged student athletes who participate in their sport at the collegiate level.

Junior counselors help head counselors with day to day tasks and serve as additional monitors during gym time, swim time, and during station rotation.

All counselors are required to have a background check as part of their application process.

Where do I drop off and pick up my camper?

School year Drop off and pick up procedure: Parents will need to park and come inside the Woodruff Building each morning and afternoon to have their camper checked in and signed out each day.  All campers will have a pick up number that guardians must know before they are allowed to sign a camper out

Summer Sessions Drop off and pick up procedure: If you are dropping off your campers/ picking them up between 8:00am-8:30am or 4:30pm-5:00pm Guardians will need to come inside the building to drop off and pick up campers using their carpool number.

8:30am-9:15am Guardians will utilize our camp car pool to drop off campers each morning and pick them up in the afternoon using their carpool.  There is no need to park and come inside the building.  We ask that guardians make sure to relay the number to whoever will be picking up their camper that day.

Do you provide extended care?

Yes. We have an early drop off option from 8:00am-8:30am each morning at a cost of $5/camper/day.  Parents have the option for pre-paying on the first day or paying by the day at the time of drop off by cash or check.

Our late pick up option is from 4:30pm-5:00pm.  It is also $5/camper/day to be paid in cash or check at the time of pick up.

We encourage parents to have pick-up arrangements for campers after 5:00pm.  After 5:05 there is a $1/minute late pick up fee in addition to the $5 extended care fee.
