Expanded CYSA Programs

Dear CYSA members,

As winter holds a firm grip here in New England the board of directors is pleased to announce a new program that will begin this spring.  Starting in April we will begin offering clinics focused on developing the skills of the Chelmsford soccer player.  The program will be run by professional coaches tailoring the clinics to a specific age group or skill set.

First, we will be offering a mini-kicks: U4 clinic for those born between 04/30/2011 and 05/01/2010.  This clinic will provide the very young with a fun interactive opportunity to get to know the game of soccer.  Next, we will be offering a goal keeper clinic for players in our travel program.  This clinic will focus on the techniques of shot stopping, handling, and ball distribution along with positioning of a keeper.  Finally, we will be offering a skills clinic to develop the basic ball handling skills required to become a better player.  The skills clinic will be offered to those participating in our U8 through U14 programs.

All of these clinics will be held on Sunday afternoons and run for 60 minutes.  Clinics will begin on Sunday April 27th and continue for six Sundays, ending on Sunday June 8th (skipping Memorial Day weekend).  The cost will be $30 for the six Sundays.

Registration for these programs will open on Saturday February 1st .  There will be a limited number of spaces available and once the clinics are full, players will be placed on a wait list.

Please note: The mini-kicks program is a non-drop off program and a parent must be present.
