As you may already be aware, US Youth Soccer is in the midst of implementing several significant changes to youth soccer on a nationwide basis. These changes will impact everything from on-field play to roster formation. While many of these changes will not be in effect nationwide until 2017, Michigan Youth Soccer has committed to implementing these changes by August, 2016. Thus, over the next several months our club will be communicating important updates on new rules & guidelines, and how our club is adapting to them.
For some initial information on the changes being implemented by US Soccer, please visit http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/changes_coming_to_youth_soccer_in_2016/
You can rest assured that we are working diligently to process the new US Youth Soccer guidelines as they are handed down. We will be proactive in communicating information to our membership as it comes available. Right now we are still in the fact-gathering stages, but you can expect further updates as we head into spring 2016. Please visit www.petoskeysoccer.com periodically for the latest updates and new information.
Our commitment is to provide a first-rate experience for our members. We realize you may have questions about these new changes which we want to answer clearly and accurately. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we digest what US Youth Soccer is requiring moving forward, and how we make it work here in PYSA. With a shared commitment to success on the field and as a soccer community, we will navigate whatever changes come our way.
Thank you for being a part of PYSA!
Sincerely,
Kyle Lieberman
