2017 Registration is Open! What's New and Change Details!

This season we introduce a new, modern AYSO registration system, along with a new age and division chart.  As with most new systems, there are sometimes limited features or bugs, but our testing of the system indicates that it is working well.  Nonetheless, please bear with us as we get accustomed to this new system.

New Registration System
No more www.eayso.org!  AYSO has changed their registration system.  The new registration system is accessed directly from our website www.sancarlosayso.org.  Everyone will need to set up a new “family” account in order to register your player and/or register to volunteer.  You will need to reenter your player and volunteer information this year.  Once the main parent/guardian has set up the account, they can add a secondary parent/guardian to the account.

This year, the total fee (see fees below) includes a non-refundable AYSO National Membership fee of $17.50.  To learn more about the national membership fee and what it covers, click here.  Our normal refund policy for the remaining fees (full refund minus $25 before 5/31/17 and no refund after 5/31/17) will remain in place.  We are moving to a credit card only system.   If you prefer to pay by check or cash, please speak to one of our board members at our in-person registration.

Once you have complete the online registration process, please bring proof of registration (a copy of the confirmation email or the e-signed forms) to one of our in-person registration events below, in order to complete the registration process.  If you are a first-time player to San Carlos AYSO, you must also bring a copy of your birth certificate.

If you have problems registering on the new system, we will have computers available at our registration events and board members on hand to answer all of your questions.

We ask for your patience as we switch to the new system.  Thank you in advance.

New Age and Division Chart:
AYSO has changed from a school year registration to a birth year registration.  This means that the effective date for age determination for registration is the player’s age as of December 31st.  Here is a breakdown of the new age chart and the new divisions:

4U (3 year olds):  Born between 1/1/2014 – 9/8/2014.  Must be 3 by September 8, 2017
5u (4 year olds):  Born 2013
6U (5 year olds):  Born 2012
8U (8 and under):  Born in 2010 or 2011
10U (10 and under):  Born in 2008 or 2009
12U (12 and under):  Born in 2006 or 2007
14U (14 and under):  Born in 2004 or 2005
16U (16 and under):  Born in 2002 or 2003
19U (19 and under):  Born between 1/1/1999 and 12/31/2001

AYSO does not allow “play downs.”  If you would like to request a “play up,” those requests must be made at one of our in person registration events.  Play ups will be evaluated on a case by case basis and must be approved by the Regional Commissioner.  Players may not skip an entire division.

Volunteer Changes:

California has mandated concussion training for all volunteers.  This means every volunteer is required to take concussion training, along with Safe Haven and the appropriate training for your volunteer position.   All of your prior AYSO trainings will be matched with your name after you have registered in the new systems.  If you already took the training, you do not need to take it again.

New this year, with the new registration system, you will NOT be able to be assigned as a coach to a team until you have completed Safe Haven, Concussion Training and the age appropriate coach training certification.  This must be completed prior to team formation in late July.

Thank you for your patience during this transition.  We look forward to seeing you at registration and answering any questions you may have.  We will have computers on site and can walk you through the new registration process.

Thanks.
