Kickers United FC would like to congratulate Claire Barresi on committing to Minnesota State University! Claire will be joining their highly successful Women's Soccer Program and playing for The Mavericks, who just completed back-to-back NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearances during the last two seasons.
It's no surprise to us to see Claire playing for such a competitive collegiate program because Claire is a competitor with a long list of accomplishments, including being named to the Illinois Olympic Development Team (ODP) in 2015 and being invited to participate in an ODP Showcase Tournament in 2016. Claire also made Varsity as a Freshman at St. Charles North High School and earned a starting spot as a sophomore on a team that made it to the Sectional Finals.
Claire has been named a team captain for her leadership skills that she demonstrates on the field with her toughness, hustle, and dynamic style of play which regularly includes perfectly executed "flip-throws" that are not only exciting to watch but that can have a game changing impact.
Congratulations Claire! We are looking forward to hearing great things about you at Minnesota State University in the Fall of 2017!
