Giving Cancer the Boot Day

As most of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many families have been directly impacted by this disease in our soccer community and the world at large. As a League, we have a unique opportunity to foster conversations with our youth about its impact and to educate them. In an effort to help support the American Cancer Society’s efforts, we are again hosting the "Give Cancer the Boot" Day at the Callaway Soccer Fields.

Everyone is encouraged to wear pink. We want to respect the integrity of the scheduled soccer games but players can wear any pink they would like, as long as it meets the rule requirements for games (ie, no jewelry, hard headbands, etc.). Team Jerseys or Shirts must be the same color but player socks, shorts, shoes, etc. can all be different and any shade of pink they'd like to wear. Coaches are being asked to wear all pink and look as crazy as they'd like!! In turn, the League is going to turn our fields bright with pink!!

This should be a very exciting Game Day and we hope everyone enjoys the special surprises Callaway Soccer has in store for our 4th OFFICIAL "Give Cancer the Boot" Day. Let's lend our hearts to those who have lost so much to this horrible disease and show our support for those still fighting!!

See you on the Pitch in your BEST PINK!!

Thank you,
Coach Amber & Coach Brent
