As of 2016 LCGSA has implemented the new calendar year age grouping for player registration put in place by SCYSA and US Youth Soccer.
Previously, age groups were determined based on players born between Aug. 1st and July 31st. The change to calendar year age groups will reflect the calendar year, or Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st. Players are still allowed to “play up” or play in an older age groups, but cannot play down. You can use the table below as a guideline for the age divisions:
The below age group and divisions reflect the Fall 2023 - Spring 2024 Recreational Divisions offered by LCGSA:
U6: 2020 - 2018
U8: 2016 - 2017
U10: 2014 - 2015
U12: 2012 - 2013
U14: 2010 - 2011
U19: 2009+
