Rental Equipment Return

As we draw near the end of the FCCJC 2014 Fall Season, we begin making plans for returning of rented helmets and shoulder pads
Every year, one of the biggest problems we have is that parents do not clean helmets before returning them. My thanks to those of you that clean your helmet each year - if you received it clean, you should return it clean.


Each coach is asked to bring his team to the equipment shed at the conclusion of the team's last game (whether regular season or tournament).

Please note of the following:

  • Cleaning supplies will NOT be available at the complex for use in cleaning helmets.
  • The night before your child's last game, please take time to remove all decals that have been placed on the helmet since you rented it from FCCJC.
  • The stickers inside the helmet and on the outside back (which include size, manufacturer and recertification year stickers) should NOT be removed.
  • Mud and dirt should be cleaned off using soapy warm water; please wipe out the inside of the helmet as well.
  • Sticker glue can be removed with GooGone, a rag and muscle!
  • Please do not use any other chemicals to clean our helmets.
  • In addition to the helmet, you will need to return the chin guard and two jaw pads that were issued with the helmet.
  • Shoulder pads require no clean-up other than wiping down the plastic and spraying with Lysol - and return them with the helmet with FCCJC identification stickers in place (on the front of pads).

In the event your child does not play in the last game with the rest of their team, the parent will be responsible for bringing the gear to the equipment building at Heritage or the new FCCJC office (15030 W. 106th St, Lenexa KS - 106th & Lackman) during regular business hours. 

Available times to return the equipment to Heritage Football Complex are as follows:

  • Saturday, November 15 (10 am to 2 pm)
  • Saturday, November 22 (10 am to 2pm)
  • Saturday, December 6 (10 am to 2 pm)

December 6 is the last day to return equipment at Heritage Park Football Complex. If at all possible, please return the equipment at one of the aforementioned times. Otherwise, hours for returning to the new FCCJC office, 15030 W. 106th St., Lenexa, KS (106th & Lackman) are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (the office will be closed over the Thanksgiving holiday). Equipment must be returned no later than Friday, December 5 at the Lenexa office. Equipment not returned will be turned over to our professional collection agency and you will be required to pay a $150 deposit if renting next year.    

It is imperative for rented equipment to be returned by this deadline for inventory and reconditioning purposes. Your cooperation in this process is greatly appreciated.
