TSA UNITED TRYOUT SCHEDULE for 2024/2025 Teams

Each year the Thibodaux Soccer Association offers a higher level of soccer called the TSA UNITED Classic League.  Players whose year of birth beginning 2014 and older can try out for the TSA UNITED Classic League respective to the U.S. Youth Soccer Age Matrix posted on the TSA Website.

Some specific differences between the UNITED Classic League and the TSA Recreational League are:

  • Potential increased costs (uniform, tournament fees, travel expenses, potential trainer fee);
  • Coaches are required to have an advanced soccer coach certification;
  • Required development of soccer skills (technical and tactical);
  • Mandatory weekend tournament play (both Saturday and Sunday);
  • Increased and mandatory team practices; and
  • Game minutes/Play based upon the player’s ability and skill set.

The Thibodaux Soccer Association will be hosting TSA UNITED try outs for the 2024-2025 season in the very near future.  If your child is interested in participating in the tryouts you MUST send an email prior to Wednesday, April 17, 2024 by 5 pm to: [email protected]

In your  email, you must indicate ALL of the following information:

Player:  Name, Birth Year, Gender.  Parent or Guardian:  Name, Cell #, and Email address

Last season club, coach and age level of play, name of the team, player’s position on the team

List any other sports that the player is involved with that may cause a conflict ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

TSA will collect this email data and submit a tryout invitation email to all players for their specific age group.  Without the invitation, players will not be allowed to try out.  All players to include players who were on a UNITED team last season must attend a tryout.

TSA requires ALL players trying out for the first time to play at their respective year of birth.

TSA is allowing any returning UNITED players to play up at least one age level if the player’s skill level is considered by the team coach and try out evaluators that the player would be better served at the older age group.  This will be handled on a case by case basis.
