Bethesda Soccer Club's Nicko Corriveau (Gonzaga H.S. 2013) named Gatorade District of Columbia player of the year

Gonzaga’s Nicko Corriveau has been named the Gatorade District of Columbia’s boys’ soccer of the year.

Corriveau, who signed with Virginia two weeks ago, posted 11 goals and 13 assists this season to lead Gonzaga to an 18-1-1 record and a Washington Catholic Athletic Conference tournament title.

In November, he was named the All-Met Player of the Year. Corriveau is the seventh player in school history to win the Gatorade Player of Year, which went to teammate Ian Harkes last year and Joey Wilkins the year before. Harkes, a two-time first team All-Met selection, will play next fall at Wake Forest.

Corriveau finished with 40 goals in his high school career at Gonzaga, and was named the WCAC’s Co-Player of the Year in 2012
