Hello soccer fans! Today marked our first “Wear it Wednesday”! Everyone who sported their Fusion gear to work, school, or even just laying around the house send us your photos for a chance to win the “Wear it Wednesday” contest! Send photos to media@fusionsc.org, tag us on Facebook and Instagram, @Fusionsc. Every person in the winning photo will receive a limited edition Fusion SC T-shirt, custom designed for this event! This will be a one-of-a-kind shirt that no one else will have! Looking forward to seeing our Fusion pride around town.   Livermore Fusion SC U11 Maroon Girls beat West Coast Fury with a 2 – 0 victory on Saturday in their spring league game. The Fusion girls dominated the game from start to finish. April Phillips and Athena Lewis tag-teamed on goalie duties to leave Fury empty handed. Kaleigh Castillo started the top of the second half with a beautiful move around West Coast’s defenders to drive the ball to the goal, making it 1 – 0. Faith Rogers capped Fusion’s scoring efforts with a mid-field boot that sailed past Fury’s defenders and into the goal. The Fusion SC U11 Maroon Girls are in contention for the spring league title and next take on Pleasanton Rage.

Overall, the spring league teams brought home 6 wins and 2 ties over the weekend. We are proud of all the spring teams and their continued efforts to bring home victories. The U9 and U10 boys and girls age groups worked hard this past weekend at their play date in Manteca, bringing home a total of 14 wins and 2 ties. Great job to all the Fusion players, coaches and parents for a great all around weekend!

With the weather heating up, it is time to pull out the mass amounts of sunscreen, water, ice and rolled sleeves.
