Welcome to the GCCSA Registration Home Page. Recreation A participation league open to children 4-18 years of age based on learning and enjoyment of the game.  All games are played locally in Cleveland County against other GCCSA teams.  All coaches are volunteers. Challenge/Classic Challenge and Classic teams are formed based on the results of tryouts and involve an annual commitment.  Games are played in the Charlotte Metro area for Challenge and throughout the state for Classic.  Coaches are assigned by the Director of Coaching. Academy The Academy teams are formed based on assesments and involve an annual committment.  The Academy format utilizes a pool of players that train and play competitive games without league standings.  It is not focused on winning or losing but rather on the player development.  Games are played against other clubs throughout the western NC region.

GCCSA plays two season per year - Fall and Spring.  Teams are formed in the fall and player placement remains the same for the spring.  The registration fee covers one season only.

Players are assigned to divisions according to age.  Players must be four years old by 8/01/11.  The league may adjust the age divisions as necessary to balance players between divisions.  The league reserves the right to create age divisions, based on player age distributions and league operation needs.

Age divisions follow USYSA guidelines and will go up to U18 if registration numbers support a U18 division.

The league has a supplemental accident insurance policy that is in effect for all registered players during practice and games.
