The PA Junior CREW Academy program is for players between the ages of 8-10 years old. Our Academy training is based on the COERVER method and its pyramid of player develop. The COERVER method is a progressive program that gives each player the cutting edge training that only Crew exclusively can bring to each of our players. The COERVER program is essential to each players development to build a strong foundation(No one else can offer the the world's number one soccer skills teaching method, the COERVER Method in this area).
The Academy program’s emphasis includes the following: individual ball mastery; 1v1 techniques of the world’s greatest players; competitive cauldrons; strength; speed; coordination and agility training; team tactics; and small group play. The Junior CREW Program's focus is on the individual development of each player. The Junior Academy is designed to give each player a maximum number of touches on the ball to increase development at a rapid pace. Although games and competition are an important part of the learning process, players during games are only touching the ball for a limited time compared to a training session. So we use the games as a gauge to see where they are at in their development and develop the corresponding training sessions based on their weaknesses and emphsize their strengths. If you are looking for more than recreational, travel, or just a regular soccer club, this advanced program is for you. Academy teams training sessions are twice a week in the Spring and Fall outdoor seasons. Each Academy team will participate in the PA West League. The Winter Indoor Academy training sessions are held at CREW'S very own Indoor Training Facility which is just for CREW players which allows CREW to offer all its players more training time and programs at no additional costs. This means there are no programs a la carte, everything is all-inclusive from speed and agility, ball mastery, 1v1 moves, finishing, and goalie training... Academy teams will train twice a week in the Winter Indoor Season during November-March. Each Academy team will also participate in the GaReat league for all indoor games against teams from Ohio, New York, and Canada.

All games will be played on Saturday and individual coaches will determine training times and locations. All games are contingent upon weather. If the weather is bad, an email will be sent out as early as possible. Please check email before leaving for games when the weather is bad. Every effort will be made to reschedule the games for another time. For the PA Junior Crew players, U8-U10 divisions, each team will practice a maximum of twice a week. Team managers will arrange the hotel rooms and parents are responsible for giving the team Manager the appropriate information to book the rooms. Tournaments may be in Pennsylvania or Ohio with travel time between 2-4 hours.
Junior Crew Attire:
All players during training sessions are required to wear their CREW training shirts with team shorts. It is up to the coach to inform the team as to which colors are worn for that session. Soccer spikes and shin guards are worn at all times and each child is responsible to bring a size 4 ball to training sessions. Don’t forget to bring water. All players on each team will be given matching shirts for the game day. Players in the goalie position will be designated by wearing a different colored vest or shirt. Shoes and shin guards, covered by socks are mandatory at all training sessions and games. Soccer shoes are without the front toe cleat such as in baseball and football.
