Pee Wee

The Pee Wee clinic uses the Dinomite soccer curiculum which is a 6 week adventure with Soccersaurus and Soccersis. The coaching is disguised behind story's which are read by the coach. The children (who love to listen to stories, play and imagine) act out the stories (fun soccer drills) while going on adventures with their new found friends Soccersaurus and Soccersis, who's images are on the balls. The stories reference areas on the balls and images where the children control, pass, and kick to develop correct technique.  The 3 and 4 year old Pee Wee soccer program was designed for first time soccer players to get the most benefit during a soccer practice by having a coach (parent/guardian) for each player.

Local Recreation / YDP

YDP is our intermural program for gender specific teams made up of U9-U10 players. Older ages may be included if the numbers warrant inclusion. Teams will practice two nights per week, with one of the nights run by a professional trainer.  Games will be played on Saturday mornings for the Fall season and Sunday afternoons for the Spring season.  Games will be 8 v 8 with goalies.  They are coach-referee format, with the coaches on the field during the game to provide in-game instruction as well as officiating.  The program includes games with the towns of Swedesboro/Woolwich, Harrison, South Harrison, and Woodstown.

Traveling

The traveling program is for players U8 and older. The small sided travel teams will be composed of 100% of members that reside within the Kingsway High School district.  Players may be allowed to participate from other boundaries with board approval.  Large sided teams can include non Kingsway district residents subject to certain limitations.  They are as follows: roster must not exceed 40% of non Kingsway district residents, the board may approve certain instances where this number may be waived.

The teams compete against other teams as members of the SJSL/SJGSL. Teams are divided by age and gender. Teams practice twice a week for about 14 weeks. One of the practices will be run by a professional soccer trainer and the other practice is run by a coach. Girls play a 10 game fall and spring season schedule on Saturday afternoons. Boys play a 10 week fall and spring season schedule on Sunday afternoons. 5 games are played at Locke Ave or High Hill West and 5 games played away.
