Five Falcons Named to All-Conference

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Falcons ended their season Saturday afternoon in the MAC Commonwealth Championship against the Stevenson University Mustangs with a hard fought 5-3 loss. They finished with a 7-4 overall record.

On Tuesday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference honored their All-MAC Commonwealth Men's Tennis teams and five Falcons were honored. Andrew Bookman and Galen Fitzkee were named to the First Team while Jarod Snader was named to the Second Team. Jonathan Baker was named Honorable Mention while head coach Jon Arosell was named Coach of the Year.

Andrew Bookman picked up his third conference honor this year after being named Second Team All-MAC Commonwealth after his sophomore season and Honorable Mention during his freshman campaign. He had a great senior season for the Falcons, compiling an 8-3 record in singles play to go along with a 9-2 record in doubles play. He went 8-2 alongside Galen Fitzkee in the No. 1 doubles spot. Bookman was also named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week two times this season.

Senior Galen Fitzkee also picks up his third conference honor after being named First Team All-MAC Commonwealth and Rookie of the Year after his freshman year and First Team after his sophomore campaign. He had another strong season for Messiah. He went 9-1 in singles play in the No. 2 position, while going 8-2 in doubles play in the No. 1 spot alongside partner Andrew Bookman.

Jarod Snader claims his first All-Conference honor after a season that saw him go 10-1 in singles play in the No. 3 spot. Snader also went 7-4 overall in doubles play, primarily with partner Jonathan Baker in the No. 2 position with a single match on court one. He picked up one victory with Connor Rose on the second court against Eastern.

In his sophomore season, Jonathan Baker claims his first All-Conference honor after going 7-4 in doubles play while also picking up five wins in singles play. In doubles, Baker played mostly in the No. 2 spot while also playing a single match at No. 1 and No. 3. He and Snader went 6-4 while Baker also picked up a victory with Michael Niemi against Eastern.

Head coach Jon Arosell was honored with his sixth Coach of the Year and 10th overall (Four Women's Honors), after being named the Coach of the Year every year from 2014-18 on the men's side. After this season, Arosell has 85 wins with the men's team and 78 wins with the women's team.
