Tips for Coaches
There are some basic considerations to keep in mind when you decide to coach a Softball or Baseball team.
Training is most successful when it encompasses both learning and enjoyment.
To enable the player to progress and the team to be successful you need to focus on fundamentals. Skills are developed by repetition.

CLOSING CEREMONIES
Please join us at the field Saturday, May 19th
as we celebrate the end of another terrific season!
8-10:30am: Home run hitting contest among the Major boys, immediately followed by girls and boys velocity pitching contest.
10:30am to noon: Closing Ceremonies, including graduation ceremonies for 12-year-olds. Mike Sutton, the Director of Athletics for Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, and Scripps Colleges will deliver the charge to the class.
Noon-2pm: Coaches' Softball Game

Tornados Softball

|
WLA Softball Tornados Win Tournament!
April 22 - Our West LA Majors Softball Tornados won the District 25 Regular Season Special Games Tournament in a thrilling 2-1 victory over North Venice. Congrats to Anna Winikow, Hannah Levine, McKenna Silber, Morgan Mase, Jamie Dunn, Jennifer Talbot, Haley Beaven, Gretel Payne, Alison Jacobs, Molly Fitzgerald, Sasha Vanley and Kate Peruzzi.
The game was decided in the final inning. With North Venice runners on 2nd and 3rd and only one out, 3rd baseman Jamie Dunn speared a line drive off North Venice and stepped on third to secure the Championship game victory. Gretel Payne pitched 5 solid innings and was the game MVP.
Way to go, Tornados!
