2013 Fall Flag Football

Flag Football in a safe and fun atmosphere. Flag football is non‐contact football played on an 80‐yard field with 10‐yard end zones. A first down is awarded every time the offense crosses the 20‐yard line and the 40‐yard line. Games are 50 plays long (2‐25 play halves) and generally finish within an hour. Each player’s fee includes rules and game orientation, skill evaluation, preseason practices and scrimmages, team jersey, a flag belt, officials, and a play book. Instruction will be provided for skills, rules, and good sportsmanship during preseason camp and at team practices. Games are played on Saturdays and coaches will schedule one practice during the week. Each league will practice together during preseason practice (early August). On the final night of preseason practice, the players are split into teams for scrimmage sessions, will meet their coaches, and receive their jerseys. Once teams are finalized, an 8 game regular season schedule for each division will be played. The season will complete with a single elimination tournament culminating in the Pumpkin Bowl, Candy Bowl, or Turkey Bowl – depending on the age division. No Games or Practices on 8/31 and 9/2.
