FALL 2012 RECREATIONAL SOCCER

Registration for the Fall 2012 soccer season is now open!

The Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association has been serving our community for over 35 years. ROYSA is the 3^rd largest club in the state of Michigan, providing a house or recreational program as well as a select or premier program. ROYSA has now exceeded 2000 players, with over 1600 recreational players and 400 premier players.

The recreational season will begin the weekend of September 8^th (Opening Day) and end the weekend of October 27th. Most games are scheduled on weekends, with occasional weeknight games. There is usually one practice per week on a weekday that will be determined by your coach. Each age group has a co-ed program that both boys and girls play and a girls program that is all female.

Registration for the Fall 2012 recreational soccer season is now open and will close on August 1^st. Late registration commences on August 8^th and will only be used to fill open spots on existing teams. A $20 late fee will apply. Late registration is subject to early closure as teams reach roster capacity.

If your child played in the Spring 2012 and wants to remain on the same team, register and pay before July 1st to guarantee their spot on the same team. Players may register after this date, but are no longer guaranteed a spot on the same team (players will be placed as space allows).

2012-13 ROYSA Renegades Premier Program

The ROYSA Premier Committee is pleased to announce the Royal Oak Renegades Open Premier Tryouts for the 2012-13 season. The tryouts will be held June 16th & June 17th at Quickstad Park in Royal Oak. The Renegades are the premier arm of ROYSA that creates an environment that advances player development, sportsmanship and fair play in an age appropriate competitive team structure. The Renegades program has divisions from U-8 to U-18 and the season runs from August until June.

All participants, even current Renegades, must register on-line to secure their position in the tryouts. There is no charge to register and tryout. Those who are already registered in the system simply need to log into your account and locate the tryout sign-up by clicking the Register Now button.

2012 ROYSA Summer Camp

The 2012 ROYSA Summer Camp will be held from July 16th to July 20th at Quickstad Park in Royal Oak. The price of the camp will be $99 and includes a t-shirt!

Here are some details:

- There will two sessions to choose from: 9 a.m. - 12:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

- There is a family discount of $10 off for each additional sibling that is registered.

- The camp is open to U-5 to U-19 age levels; must be at least 4 years old to attend. (Birthday must be between 7/15/93 - 7/31/08)

- Campers will be grouped based on skill and age.

- You do not have be currently registered with ROYSA to attend the camp.

- You must register by July 8th to avoid a late fee of $25.

- Renegades are welcome / encouraged to attend but there will also be a separate Renegade camp announcement shortly.

2012 Renegades Summer Camp

The 2012 Renegades Summer Camp will be held from July 30th to August 3rd at Quickstad Park in Royal Oak. The camp will give the opportunity for those selected at the June tryouts a chance to kick the season off with an intense and fun training session. The price of the camp will be $99 and includes a t-shirt!

Please talk with your Renegade coach and teammates so that you sign up for the same session with your fellow players.

Here are some details:

- There will be two sessions to choose from: 9 a.m. - 12:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

- There is a family discount of $10 off for each additional sibling that is registered.

- The camp is open to U-8 to U-18 Renegade division players.

- The camp is not mandatory for Renegade players but talk with your coach to see if this is part of their summer training program.

- You do have to be a current Renegade to attend the camp.

- You must register by July 16th to avoid a late fee of $25.

Friday Footskills

LAST FRIDAY FOOTSKILLS THIS WEEK!

These are free - no registration necessary clinics that will be held on Fridays from April 13th to May 18th at Red Run Park. Major focus is player development and improvement of individual touch. U-7 to U-10 will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and U-11 & Older will be held from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. All Renegade and Recreational players are encouraged to participate. JUST SHOW UP!
